About Us

Work, Work, Work...

LeGallee Artisan Furniture Designs originally began from my home in 2009 from necessity.  There I worked from my barn, porch, car port, and yard for six years until 2015 when I finally built a shop where it is today. Let's just say, my wife is very patient!

Heed Good Advice...

The name LeGallee (la-ga-lee) came from my great grandparents who lived in Panama City, Florida.  I don't remember much about "Grand Pop" other than his big scary reclining chair, but "Grandmother" lived for quite a while and she was very fond of my brother and me.  She used to take me crabbing for blue crab in the early morning hours at our family beach cottage in Indian Pass, and it was always a fun time watching her jump in for a swim while she was in her 70's and 80's.  She once told me to use my hands and inherited artistic ability in doing whatever I decided to do with my life, but her advice didn't sink in until I was laid off from a fast pace health care industry in 2008 after 13 years of hard work.

Location is Everything...

Since building the shop at our current location, just off I85 at exit 16, we've spent most of our time creating custom, overly-made, solid wood pieces for homes, cabins, and cottages using reclaimed wood from old barns and forgotten structures throughout the Southeast.  Our bookcases and big panel door beds have always been best sellers but we've recently began concentrating on narrowing down our specialty items into a production line of our most popular pieces.

Building Lasting Furniture from Forgotten History...

As we progress, I am excited to continue our alliances with current designers, residential customers, and contractors who have allowed us the success we've experienced, and look forward to additional growth and building new relationships in the future!  LeGallee Furniture will continue to sell products at the Scott Antique Market during the second weekend of each month.  Please visit our booth while there in the South Building on isle J-8.
